The man, whose name has not yet been released, will appear in Sydney provincial court today facing charges of trafficking in marijuana, theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

SYDNEY — A 43-year-old Glace Bay man is expected to appear in provincial court later today in connection with charges from a hit-and-run accident Thursday.

Cape Breton Regional Police were called to the McDonald’s restaurant on Welton Street at approximately 4 p.m. having received a report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot.

SYDNEY — The devices are called smart phones but what local teens are doing with them is being described as stupid and, in some cases, illegal.

Cape Breton Regional Police have embarked on a public education campaign in a bid to get local teens to understand that using smart phones to send nude pictures of themselves is not a very smart thing to do.
